a little wax in the ol tail never hurt nobody right?

well we have waves, just how long they will last is the question. i thought i saw something on the forecast for tomorrow but after that i think we can say good bye to surf for a couple of days. keepin the fingers crossed, just might just get a little bit of logging in if i'm lucky.

All in Time

My first surf of the new year and since about the first week of December. Less than spectacular but something to ride, hopefully more waves to come. I had a rude awakening on my paddle out just how much I let myself go over the holiday break being about 2 hours away from the nearest wave. Although there's been very little to be motivated about around here. Looking forward to some clean winter swell, right?

is this some kind of sick joke?

seriously Atlantic, come on, have we all been this bad? you have given us no waves in so long! i see what your brother the pacific has been up to and it makes me sick. come on man, kayakers, really? even the paddle boarders have given up on you and are playing on your "swells". i only report concern because i care.

hahahaha

I first saw this on the dano surfboards blog and nearly feel out of my seat from laughing.

Gotta Love the East Coast

Oh I just love multi week in a row flat spells. Classes start back tomorrow so at least i'll have something to occupy my time while there aren't any waves.

not the greatest start to the new year

Got back into wilmington last night and noticed as i was driving up to my apartment that apparently the building a cross from mine caught on fire and destroyed four apartments. I think like four people were sent to the hospital and unfortunately one girl, who was a uncw grad student, passed away. Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family and the families of the people who lost their homes.
